– White belt Six Sigma

This is the starting or first level of certification in the six sigma course. A candidate who takes up this examination learns the basics of problem-solving. The fundamentals of Six Sigma can be learnt at this stage. To obtain the certificate, the candidate has to score a minimum of 70 per cent. The exam consists of 15 questions that are timed for 60 minutes. Candidates who score more than the threshold level are awarded the Six Sigma White belt certification 

– Yellow belt Six Sigma

The next level is the yellow belt, wherein candidates begin to understand the application aspects of the Six Sigma fundamentals. This is one of the key levels, where a candidate learns to manage time and starts applying the basics principles to develop themselves and also the team. For the yellow belt certification, a total of 30 questions are given. Here again, the exam timing is 60 minutes. 

Green belt Six Sigma Certification

The next level is the Six Sigma green belt certification. Here, the candidate learns to analyse and interpret data. Candidates who take up the green belt certification course are well-versed in problem-solving. They even turn qualified to manage a team by themselves. As we move up the lane, the toughness of the exam also keeps increasing. Here in the case of green belt certification, candidates must take up an exam with 60 questions within 60 minutes. Only those candidates who score above 70 per cent in this examination are provided with a certificate. 

– Black belt Six Sigma Certification

The black belt is the stage next to the green belt. Here the candidates are expected to answer 100 questions within 120 minutes. An individual with a black belt certification plays a key role in understanding the team dynamics within an organisation. These candidates can understand the principles and philosophies of Six Sigma. Most companies look for black belt certified individuals. This is because they play a key role in binding the team together and also shouldering responsibilities to build a better working place. 

– Master Black Belt (MBB)

These are the top-level individuals, who train the Green and Black belt individuals. This certificate is usually provided after a tedious review by the certification institute. The candidate who is looking forward to this certification has to be strong in mentoring, training, and preparing candidates in the Six Sigma principles.
